wine spectator’s top 100 of 2009

the wine spectator has launched its final list of the top 100 wines it tasted and its readers tasted for the year of 2009. narrowing down the list to 100, which may seem to be a lot but considering the number of new vintages released and old vintages finally opened, it is no small feat to make a list this short. their list features top vintages, outstanding growing regions that make great wine travel destinations and also brings attention to interesting flavours and great crafters. average bottle price is 40$, lower than previous years, but the choices still maintain high quality and great integrity.
